All are welcome to join Bloomington Parkour,
While Bloomington Parkour's free Thursday meetups are open to the public, certain meet ups are meant for members only.
This is done to ensure the safety of all participants, as well to make sure that parkour is being practiced publicly within the standards of the sport.
For starters: No Money. We do not charge for membership in the group.
To join:
1 - Start Attending BPK's public meetups, Thursdays at 5:30 at Lower Cascades Park.
2 - Get familiar with fundamentals of parkour. We teach you everything.
3 - Once you pass the vibe check, you get invited to the Group Chat.
We just need to make sure that you have right mindset to train safely, so that we can all enjoy the many great spots in our area. We're not looking for high skill level. We're testing for:
-Your ability to approach challenges and break them down
-Clean fundamentals and a good understanding of parkour safety
-Good vibes.
Will I ever have to spend any money?
No, you will never have to give BPK any money in order to be a member.
What about the Movement Class? Isn't that paid?
"Movement Fundamentals" is a separate class, hosted at Full House Fitness. It is focused on fitness from dynamic movement, using parkour and other disciplines. It isn't needed to join BPK. All proceeds from that class go to making BPK's efforts possible.
Are there any other basic requirements?
BPK members must be at least 18 years of age.
